What is Hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding is a process that sprays a mixture of grass seed, mulch, fertilizer, and water onto your lawn. This nutrient-rich slurry promotes fast germination, superior growth, and better moisture retention compared to dry seeding. It’s perfect for new lawns, erosion control, and repairing damaged turf.
Why Choose Hydroseeding?
Faster & More Effective Than Dry Seeding – Germination typically begins within 7–10 days.
More Affordable Than Sod – Get a lush lawn at a fraction of the cost of sod installation.
Healthier, Stronger Grass – Custom seed blends tailored to our region’s soil and climate.
Excellent Moisture Retention – The mulch helps lock in moisture, preventing seed washout.
Great for Slopes & Large Areas – Ideal for erosion control and difficult-to-seed locations.
When is the Best Time for Hydroseeding?
The best time for hydroseeding is spring (April to June) and early fall (September to October) when temperatures and moisture levels are ideal for seed germination. With the right conditions and proper care, you’ll start seeing grass growth within a few weeks!

Hydro Seeding
The Process
Preperation

Before hydroseeding, clear the area of weeds, grass, and debris for better seed-to-soil contact. Light tilling or power raking improves the seed bed, and grading prevents water pooling. A layer of fresh top soil can boost early growth, ensuring a strong, healthy lawn.
Hydro Seeding

Hydroseeding sprays a mix of seed, mulch, fertilizer, and water onto the soil, promoting even growth and faster germination. The mulch retains moisture and protects seeds from erosion. Grass typically starts sprouting in 7–10 days, with a full lawn developing in weeks.
Watering

Keep the soil moist by watering 2–3 times daily for the first two weeks. As grass grows, reduce frequency but water more deeply to strengthen roots. After four to five weeks, transition to one deep watering per day for long-term health.
